"My profession is irrelevant in regards to this situation." He rambled, speaking rather quickly. He tended to mangle his words when he got excited. Having to focus on keeping the Italian out of the conversation, he continued, "It wouldn’t be much fun if I told you, now would it?" If only she knew what he had in store for her. He smiled to himself, striding off to the car, unconcerned whether or not Regina was keeping up, "I know I’m the best. And you are seriously the slowest walker I’ve ever met.”
"It’s super relevant. At least you being busy is more glamorous than my summer classes." Regina smiled up at the boy, getting a tad bit flustered as his speech began to quicken. Sometimes Luca could be cute — only sometimes. "Should I be scared? Am I going to get mugged and or raped?" She questioned, doing her best to keep up with the boy. "Well, maybe if you slowed down, I wouldn’t have to race after you. My legs are long but not that long, asshole."
"I’m a little nervous, too. What do we really have to be nervous about, though? They have no reason to reject us." He squeezed Jayden’s hand, taking a deep breath in as they approached the building. "There’s nothing to worry about. I can do most of the talking if that would make you more comfortable."
Jayden nodded quickly and let out a shaky sigh. “Yeah, that’d be best. You know I start to babble when I’m nervous. Like right now. My god, I’m sweating. Why am I sweating? This is why you’re the handsome, charming husband and I’m the trophy wife ‘cause I can’t handle speaking in public.”
